Ministers of Love

Dear love revealer Sara, I’m noticing more and more how many opportunities there are to give and receive love, especially to “strangers.” I don’t really believe in strangers- I live mostly in a world of everyone being some kind of friend I just haven’t met yet. People often think I’m unusual for being “so familiar,” and yet they also like it. We all have an opportunity to be and practice being what I call a “Minister of Love.” This isn’t religious as much as spiritual. The dictionary says that a minister “attends to the wants and needs of others.” One time while waiting at an airport for my flight to depart, I kept track of some of my opportunities to share my ministry of love: A woman traveling to Rome who was desperate for dental floss- I had some. A crabby man who admitted his back hurt and asked if anyone had aspirin- I had some. A flight attendant who smiled when I thanked her for doing her work so beautifully. An exhausted parent who appreciated me sitting next to her baby on a chair, so it wouldn’t roll off while she dug in her diaper bag. A nervous woman traveling with her cat in a carrier, and crying because her cat was crying. I offered to do some interspecies telepathic communication with her cat, and she told me it didn’t cry again on the flight. We can each be on the lookout for more opportunities to care for each other. So many people are already doing this, and I’m gratefull every time I’m the recipient of kindness or offering of love. Every time we extend ourselves in these ways, there is a shift in the world’s energy. Engaged in Love

Dear luminously loving soul Sara, You might know that I believe in living what I call a Valentine’s Life as much as possible.  What does this mean? It means that we give ourselves and the world so much love as often as we can, in as many ways as we can- we keep on loving and being loved. In addition to Valentine’s Day, we fill our whole LIVES up with so much love.  Of course it isn’t always easy, and sometimes doesn’t feel loving at all.  And I want to honor and acknowledge anyone who is experiencing less love, or a lack of love, or the appearance of no love at all.  I am reminding us all that when love appears absent, there is hope for love, which is ever present.  Last week I posted about my engagement to beloved David, and SO many of you sent us your congratulations, blessings and well wishes- thank you so much!!  So. Much. Love.  Thank you also to everyone who called the Inspiration Line and shared their love in a message. You are all-ways welcome to call 415-546 3742 to give or receive love.  You’ve all inspired us greatly, and helped us to multiply our love. I want to respond especially to all the comments that our love story gives hope.  I’m glad of course, and that’s why I titled my post about it: “Engaged in Love” because we all are doing that- in whatever form of love you are engaged in. Which of course includes the love of your very own dear self.  In that way, we are all engaged, and there is hope for us all. And we are all being invited to practice hoping more than ever before.  What are you hoping for? Engaged in Love

Dear cascading waves of love Sara, I woke up on Christmas Day to see David in a Santa Hat, and a big smile, joyfully exclaiming,  “Merry Christmas! Today’s the day!!”  I was in my upper loft bed, looking down and laughing.  Then he got onto one knee, with both arms outstretched and said:  “Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy, you are the most beautifull woman in the world.  I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you- and into eternity.  In the presence of my grandmother, Henry Miller, all the angels and spirits that surround us, and all the magic and love that’s been created in our lives, will you marry me?” I kept laughing and then it dawned on me that this...was...THE PROPOSAL!!!!!!!! It’s so funny to me now that I didn’t initially know what was going on!  And then through my laughter, I answered YES!!!  And then he climbed the loft ladder and handed me his ring- a sweet silver ring- the one he has worn for 6 years, when he married himself. I’m happily wearing it for now until we choose another.  We’re enjoying being engaged until we choose our wedding date. We’ve enjoyed it so much that David proposed every day for the 12 days after Christmas, and I said yes each time:-) except for one crabby moment when I hesitated before replying.  Life is so astonishing.  Six years ago, I was engaged to marry John and then he died in my arms in 2016. After deeply grieving and wildly living for 2 years, I had a big dream to create another epic love. In 2018, John communicated from the afterlife that “my husband would arrive in May.” I met David on May 21st of that year. John also told me that he absolutely loves David.  I am so inspired to be ENGAGED to marry David, who fills my soul and this world with SO MUCH LOVE in all ways.  I send this love to you now, in the engagement of your life, and in your love and loving ways.  We are all engaged in love every day of our lives.    , p.s. if you feel moved to congratulate us beyond the comments, feel free to call the Inspiration Line, which is also where I first met David!  415-546-3742, 415-546-EPIC       You are seen, You are known, You are loved.
